RLQ Evaluation Seminar

On Sunday 11 April 2010, Radju Leħen il-Qala held its Evaluation Seminar at the Franciscan Convent, Għajnsielem from 9.00am till 4.00pm. The administration invited nine other persons so that together past schedules were evaluated and plans for the future were laid down.

The administration of RLQ - made up of Arc Fr Joe Zammit, Josef Abela, Karl Buttigieg, Ivan Cefai, Jacqueline Cefai, Sammy Meylaq and Philip Pisani - discussed and jotted down the notes as presented during this seminar by David Azzopardi, Doris Azzopardi, Jessica Cefai, Mario Cremona, Marlene Debono, Euchar Mizzi, Kav. Joe Psaila, Dun Anton Sultana and Dr Raymond C Xerri.

After a short break for lunch at noon, the administration met again to evaluate in more detail all that was previously presented and discussed.

Special Schedule 11 April 2010

RLQ has prepared a special schedule on the occasion of the 50th anniversay from the Ordination of Dun Lawrenz Theuma. On behalf of the administration and crew of RLQ we wish him Ad Mutos Annos. A special interview, conducted by Ivan Cefai, will be aired on this day at 7.45am, 7pm and 12.30am. Kindly follow the schedule for more details.

AQA 3rd Spring Annual Party

The American-Qala Association is once again organizing its Annual Spring Party. This event will be held on Saturday, 1st May 2010 at 7.30pm at the Maltese Center in Astoria, New York. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the home cooked food and dance the night away with DJ Joe Muscat. Bring along your family and friends as the more the merrier. All proceeds will go to Radju Lehen il-Qala.

Easter Schedule 2010 .. in video (part1)

Last Sunday, 28th March 2010 the Catholic Church celebrated Palm Sunday Jesus's triumphal entrance into Jerusalem. Below is a short footage from the procession that departed from the Franciscan Convent to the Qala Parish Church before the 10am mass celebration.

Then it was for last Tuesday, 30th March 2010 where our parish community held the Via Crucis around some of the streets of Qala. Below you can find two footages taken on that day and a photo album. Special thanks goes to Joe Zammit for sharing these photos with us.

Today, Thursday 1st April 2010, the Catholic Church is celebrating Holy Thursday commemorating the Last Super of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. Join us at 7pm for the Con celebration mass and at 8.30pm for the Visiting of the Seven Churches together with RLQ Equipe from seven churches around Gozo.

Especially for the benefit of our dear emigrants below is the footage taken from the procession held last Friday 26 March 2010 of the Feast of the Madonna in Sorrow.
